QUESTIONS
BPD care FAQ
?
Is it normal to feel disconnected from my baby?
Yes. Feeling numb, disconnected, or unsure you feel the bond you expected is a real and common symptom of postpartum depression and anxiety — not a sign you're a bad parent.
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Yes. Visits are available by telehealth across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, or in person at our Williamstown and Philadelphia offices.
?
Can I take medication while breastfeeding?
Many options have a strong safety record during breastfeeding. We'll go over what fits your situation at your evaluation
How is this different from the baby blues?
Baby blues are common in the first two weeks after delivery and pass on their own. If low mood, anxiety, or other symptoms last longer than two weeks, or feel severe, it may be more than the baby blues — and it's treatable.
